Access to Our Inn

The access road, Dodo 718 Chubetsu-Shimizu Line, is a steep mountain road with sharp curves and switchbacks about 8 km before reaching Higashi-Taisetsuso. Also, about 5 km before reaching Higashi-Taisetsuso, the road becomes an unpaved dirt road; however, the surface is regularly maintained.
Around Higashi-Taisetsuso, snowfall usually begins around late October each year, but snow removal is carried out by the town and our inn to ensure safe access year-round. We kindly ask drivers to use studless tires until around May.

Regarding navigation

If you come from the Do-O area, it is faster and safer to use the Tokachi-Shimizu IC route rather than the Doto Expressway Tomamu IC shown on some navigation systems.
From New Chitose Airport, please use the Doto Expressway Chitose-Higashi IC instead of the Do-O Expressway New Chitose Airport IC.
From each Tomakomai port, using the Doto Expressway from Oiwake IC without going through the Do-O Expressway will get you to Higashi-Taisetsuso in almost the same time.
During winter, travel time is estimated to increase to about 120% to 130% of the displayed time.
